I have a 32" Olevia LCD monitor hooked up to a ATI all in wonder 8500dv video card. Since I've set up this monitor, red text have been bleeding to the point of illegibility.

i tried playing around with sharpness which kind of solves the problem, but does not eliminate it completely. i tried contrast, tint, brightness, color, but that the bleed around the letters are still the same, only the color changes. anyone have similar problems?

davidave, pure SWAG, sounds like a resolution thing to me. Could there be another, better driver? Sounds to me like yours is sorta the right one, but needs to be able to control individual pixels better.

hi ed thanks for the reply.

in the situation you described would all colors bleed or just select colors?

i've set the resolution to the monitor's native resolution. everything looks normal except for red. for example the text on the right side of about.com has shades of orange and its edges are blurry. any thoughts?
