latest via4in1 drivers d3d crashes

i've just recently upgraded my via4in1 drivers to the latest version from a really old version probably 1year old. now all my direct3d games crash, opengl seems to work fine. and i've tried installing every via4in1 driver from viarena.com to no prevail. heres a picture of warcraft 3 crashing. someone please help :D? i have a feeling its something to do with via cpu to agp controller. my motherboard is a giga-byte 7ZXE and i'm runing directx 9.1b with a geforce4 mx440.

Have you tried updating your AGPBUS drivers? no point having new chipset drivers if your AGPBUS is dated. Failing that, revert to the drivers you were using before, I mean hell, it wont be giving you any performance increase.
