I have a Samsung ML 1210 laser printer. It was working fine for the last couple of years until now. The printer is having problem taking the paper. You have to jiggle the paper few times before it will take it. Can anyone tell me what it could be? Thanks.

sounds like you may just need to have it checked out or cleaned by someone that does that as a service, but really it could be any number of problems.

first couple things that come to my mind from my experience have been the pad on the pick-up roller being too dirty to pick up the paper, or a sensor that is intermittent and not sensing that the paper is there...

Also you might try posting in the "General Hardware" forum for better help.

I concur with trdj about a dirty pickup roller. A simple quick fix is to take a coffee filter (actually recommended by Xerox) and moisten it slightly with water and rub it on the pickup rollers. Coffee filters are abrasive and will remove paper dust and other debris.
