large file email that won't send

I tried to send an email with some photos that are apparently too large and it is sitting in my Outbox still trying to be sent. When I try to open it so I can delete it, it says "Can't open this item. Outlook is in the process of tranmitting this message." What do I do?

Disconnect your network connection. Then move the email into your Drafts folder. You can then delete the message from there. Then, reconnect to the internet.
