I installed windows XP Pro, and shut down computer. now, when I log back on, it brings up by main screen, then the windows xp screen, and then reboots back to main Dell screen, and goes black, and then back to the Dell screen. I cannot even log on in safe mode. Does this have something to do with the FAT32 file? It says it is clean. I have tried to boot with disk, but it keeps erroring me out? Did I do something to my hard drive?????

What disk have u tried to boot with ??
Try this: 1) set ur bios to boot from cdrom first (HD second) 2) insert the XP disk and re-boot 3) don't press a key to boot from the disk - just let it try and boot from the HD
It may well now either boot to the desktop or give an error message.
Post back with the outcome.
Hope this helps

Hi Nancy, keef444, hello everyone,
I would boot with the WinXP Pro CD and select the option to repair.
To do so you may need to go into the bios first and select the CDROM as the first boot device. If you are uncertain how, post back and myself or someone else will guide you through.
