Laptop Volume Control in XP

Hello. I upgraded to Windows XP Pro from Windows ME and I can no longer use the Fn keys to change the volume! Windows just doesn't respond! I know heaps of other people who are experiencing the same issue - it only seems to be with Win XP. All other Windows OS's work fine with the volume control on the keyboard. Any suggestions? I already asked Gateway technical support and they didn't know either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Until you can find a better answer, put the volume control icon in the taskbar, and use it instead. Control Panel/Sound & Audio devices/volume tab.
