Can i watch a dvd through my laptop, on my desktop's screen? the desktop cant play dvd's right now so im wondering if i can do it this way?? cheers

You may be able to connect a second display (monitor) to the laptop and view that way.

If the monitor will connect to the laptop you can use it to watch the movie. Connect it and then use the ALT, monitor keys on your laptop to switch the monitors. Your laptop will now use the desktop's monitor.
