Since i upgraded the driver for my intel 945gm express graphics on my laptop, the screen has rapidly flickered on and off upon unplugging the mains power. the laptop does not flicker when booted up off the battery. however, when you stop playing a video, the screen will then flicker. if you keep the video playing or paused and minimised, it doesnt flicker. if you connect the laptop to an external monitor, there is no flicker at all. i have tried rolling back the drivers to no avail. The screen literally turns on and off very fast. I dont know how to solve this problem as rolling back the driver didnt work!

it didnt happen though when using the laptop in safe mode. and all of the flickering only occurs when running off battery.

To clarify, the flickering only occurs when the AC is removed. If you remove the AC when the computer is turned on, it flickers. If you boot the laptop off the battery it works fine, until you come to play a video or the battery goes low. What I mean is the laptop will boot fine without the AC, but if you try and remove the AC while in use the flicker will happen every time
