Why is my computer showing weird symbols instead of regular English font ?
I just used my Laptop yesterday and everything was okay. I have an ACER TravelMate 300.
When I turned the computer on today I see that it is showing all weird symbols. I can not find an answer. I have tried everything I could. I have tried changing the language on the control panel and I have tried scanning wit h BitDefender. I can not do anything else because I can not understand these weird symbols. Someone help me/ What is wrong with my Laptop?The symbols are squares ,lines and circles , etc.
How did you manage to access Control Panel if the text is symbols. Look at the link below. Is that what you are seeing? That is the ascii table. You may have pressed keystrokes to take you to it.

I have another computer that helped guide me to the right place.
It is just weird symbols and I cant even restore or do anything.
Is it the same in Safe Mode? If not you could do restore from there. Alternatively it can be done from command prompt - but note that it cannot be undone:
