Laptop profile when not on domain

I am on a Windows 2000 domain using Windows XP for one of our laptop and roaming profile.
When a user is not connected to the domain and is trying to login i would like it to be able to bypass the message saying it cannot find the domain.
I want the user to be able to still be logging on with his username password and domain name instead of creating a new profile for him.
