My laptop no longer uses the full screen if I run in anything other than 1600x1200 resolution....does anyone have any idea as to why this is or how I can fix it?

On my IBM thinkpad, go to the thinkpad utilities and find where to click on enable screen expansion.
It's in different places on the different versions of the thinkpad, if you have another brand there should be something similar.

Dell won't let me do it but NVIDIA will :) here's what I did:
since Dell no longer supports the geforce2 Go I downloaded the latest detonater drivers and used the geforce2 GPU drivers...then I went into display properties, settings, advanced, geforce2 go, nView display mode, device settings, screen adjustment and changed the option from use centered ouput to use display adapter scaling and now it works:) thanks for leading me in the right direction
