Hello, my friends laptop replaces characters with numbers for some reason, but only in his profile on XP, it works fine in any other proflie, It wasn't the Numlock Key, He has Checked for viruses, and it happened right after we got out of Net Meeting. Can anyone help

JC, first thing that comes to mind is a virus. Seems like that would be machine wide in effect, but who knows? If it were me, I'd first disable restore, then scan/clean, then re-enable restore (be aware that doing this will erase all your restore points so you might wanna create a new CLEAN one). HTH. I go this problem too.... I tried the numlock key and initialindicators key in the registry to no avail.
I've got MaAfee at it's latest version! Any luck with this?
