I have 3 laptops in the household all a few month old and same spec. One of them has a slow connection on internet even if it is the only one connected to the router, does anyone know what settings i could try to speed it up.
Slow connections are usually not caused by settings but by spyware/malware/viruses and programs all starting and trying to run at the same time. When settings become changed then that is a sign of the same things I just stated... Make sure the computer is clean.
I use winpatrol to remove and monitor any start-up programs.

Did you do a speed test to internet site to prove this. Also when doing that see task manager for the network tab to compare speeds. Could be as simple as a bad cable to the router or flakey nic.
