Start Tapping the F8 key and get into Safe Mode and work with your computer.
If the freezes stop, than you probalby have a conflict with something on your computer.

Start - Run - Type - msconfig - OK
Startup Tab - Remove the check marks for part of whats running and keep up
with what your unchecking. APPLY - If asked than Restart.
You can disable ALL at first to see if the freezes stop and than enable all and start
the search for the one causing the problem

what spyware and malware scans have you done already? They cause PC's to freeze up at the best of times.
