I have found the answer to my problem but that has lead to another problem. The answer that was received before says about finding "acpi fan" but looking on the list I couldnt find it so i could only get so far. any ideas? this was the original - Control panel, power options, change plan settings under balanced, change advanced power settings, scroll down to processor power management, then minimum processor state, change value to %100. Then go to system in control panel, device manager, acpi fan, right click, properties, driver tab, update driver, browse computer, let me pick from a list, uncheck show compatble hardware, scroll down to volume manager, next, click yes

RB... you are posting this advice on a number of queries and it is not always useful... could nearly be considered as spam don't you think?
