Laptop Battery Problem

Hi I purchased a used Laptop battery on ebay and used it to replace the dead laptop battery I have but when I put it in the laptop it says it has 100% and after awhile my laptop will Turn off and I will turn it back on and it will say the battery has 100% does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

you know how a used car sales man will sell you a lemon...well I don't know what the perfect analogy to a battery would be but lemon works for this purpose.
If the above is all gibberish to you, then get a refund if you can or get a new one from the manufacturer (your safest bet!)

The advanced button on the screen saver window is gonna be your first stop. Check the ac and battery settings. It may be set to shut down the systen after so much time has gone by where the system is inactive and it's running on the battery. Next stop is going to be the bios. Check for the same basic settings in there. It's just shutting down to save the battery. I'm not sure if Everest would read the battery on a laptop but would be worth a shot. Sounds more like a battery monitoring issue than a flakey battery. Also please post back and clarify if you get this reading when it solely on battery power or when it's power pack is being used.
