What kind of connection is your ISP providing? If it is PPPoE, make sure that your router is configured correctly to log you in.

Hello.

First of all, I understand that you want to connect to your local area network and not to Internet.

Try lowering the connection speed from 100 Mbps to 10 mbps and see if you can connect now.

You can do this from the ethernet adapter properties window. Connection speed is normally set to Autosense or auto depending on ethernet card make.

Hope the above helps.

Regards
