I've tried everything i know.. but i can't seem to figure it out.. any suggestion on how to fix it? or may be free up some space..
ps: it's trying to download the file to D:\
how do i make the install go to C:\??

what are you talking about? cpu memory? there's the cache, but I don't think you download into the cache.
if your computer is automatically downloading into D: where it might be the cd-rom or a cd-writer without a cdr) then...
if the link is for a file "xxxxx.xxx" then, right-click and "save target as", browse into C:
if it's not, clicking it should ask where you want to put it.

if that fails, go into ie settings reset the settings somewhere.

What is on the D drive? Is it for your
recovery partition? If so, you will not be
able to download to it. OEM XP machines
generally have the D drive for this
purpose.
Are you able to change the target to
download to your C drive? Check your
settings in Internet Explorer to find out
where your temporary files land and
change the location, and delete
temporary files.
Hope this helps. ............Pat
