I'm trying to fix my boss's laptop (Sony Vaio).
His kids installed a pinball game.
Ever since, the keybaord is INCREDIBLY slow to respond. There is a 20 second delay before each keystroke is registered (this happens in all applications -Word, Excel etc- and even when using the keyboard to close WindowsXP dialog boxes etc). Each time you hit a key you also get a "beep" sound.
The game has been uninstalled.
I have removed the keybord from the System settings in Control Panel and Windows has re-installed it.

Have you tried going to Control Panel/Printers and Other Hardware/Keyboard and in the Speed tab, set everything to max.
