Help... just recently my shift keys are not working.When I use the right shift key, I get a new window with HP Toolkit (MY Pictures).. the left shift key opens the page that contains e-mail. both times the words appear in the lower left hand corner.. They are working like hot keys.. any suggestions??

Only thing I can think of right now is that some desktop management software is running which has this functionality - or keyboard shortcuts have been created for those two applications which happen to have been assigned to the shift keys.
If there is an overlayed text display when you press then then this sounds like you have a multimedia keyboard with all manner of extra buttons on it to fire up the Internet e.t.c. - if so, check the configuration of the application that controls this (should be in your system tray) and see if that has some settings assigne to the shift keys.
