You must enable the keyboard from the BIOS.
When you turn on the computer, start pressing either DEL or F2 (you'll have to find that out by reading your motherboard manual or by trying to read the message that briefly appears right after you turn on the computer, telling you what key to press to enter the BIOS).Once you have accessed the BIOS, explore the different sections (don't change any values or settings) until you find one called "Features Setup" or "Legacy Devices Setup". The name will depend on the BIOS manufacturer.
There you should find an option that says either "USB function for DOS", "Legacy keyboard for DOS" or something along those lines. Set it to "Enabled" or "Yes".
Save the changes, which can usually be done by pressing F10.
After that, your keyboard should work both under Windows and DOS.Please reply saying if you've been able to solve the problem.

Thanks It was not my computer I was troubleshooting, I'm pretty sure that was the problem. He was saying that F8 would not work to get him to Start-up options, I wonder If he can get into the bios.
