keyboard failure

many a time i power on my pc i see "keyboard failure" error then i power off pc and then power on again,i do not see this.why is it so? error please reply me thanks a lot

most likely a broken or failing wire in either the socket or the keyboard. start by replacing the keyboard with a known good one.

PS not a xp issue but a hardware forum issue.
