I posted before about my keyboard beeping when you try to type capital letters with the right and left shift keys. It is still doing it, and i have installed the updated drivers and all. does anyone have any suggestions? it's a logitech wireless keyboard with the most recent drivers installed. this is what it is doing:
when i try to type certain letters using the left shift key, the computer will beep (a system beep, not from the sound card) if i try several times eventually it will give me the character i want. also, sometimes the character will work with the right shift key and not the left. they always work with the caps lock.
i do not think that it is something with the computer, i am leaning more towards the keyboard, but it never did this before i formatted my computer and i didn't do anything to it during that time. I haven't tried another keyboard yet, i am going to do that when i get the other keyboard out of storage.
any ideas?

schwenter,
Hi,
That is what i would do, replace it with a wired keyboard and test your theory. If it still does it you have eliminated the keyboard as being at fault. It is the cheapest place to start, you might even have some laying around.
Keep us posted
If the advice given helps you then let us know so that others having that same problem can see that it worked. THANKS!

yea, the wired keyboard works fine. and now that i have plugged it in, when i try to revert back to the cordless one, the cordless keyboard doesn't work at all. SSOO i do have to find another keyboard because the one i have belongs to my step-kid's computer. yikes
