Specs: Windows XP, 300 GHZ/3.25 G
My keyboard and mouse stopped working. At first I thought it was a virus but after scanning with a bootable flash drive, that was not the case. I repaired the OS while saving all my files. Use the Windows XP disk, do not choose the repair option here, choose the install, it will see that you already have a version of XP installed, then choose repair. You should back up your files just in case before you start if at all possible. When it is through, you will have to install all the patches again, SP3 then the rest...

I am not sure what the purpose of this post is.

That said, if you had no access to either a keyboard or mouse, how did you do anything?
