Keyboard and mouse cursor problems

A little while ago for no apparent reason my keyboard would just stop working. I have to unplug it and plug it back in and it starts working again. USB... Then a couple of days ago my mouse cursor disappears. I can run over minimized programs in the task bar and see them light up, and can click on them. The mouse cursor then appears again. It will stay there for quite a while and be just fine, and then the cursor disappears again. Anyone have any ideas on these two problems? They are driving me nuts and I can't seem to find an answer to it.

ok your keyboard is usb..what is your mouse? If it is usb also then your usb controler drivers on your mobo are probably faulty and need to be uninstalled and reinstalled and updated. go to device manager and click on usb controler then properties and uninstall drivers then ok and you will have to manually reboot your pc but as it comes back up windows will find new device and install windows drivers for it. then go to mobo website and update the drivers with their driver download.

ive also got a usb mouse and have similar problem, when i boot my pc the mouse dont work and starts working when i replug it. i have latest usb divers installed and have this problem in both win98 and XP. so i think its not due to drivers, by the way i have MSI k7n2 delta motherboard.
