For quite a while I was saying to everyone : my pc is the best around... never had any problem... but.. now.. since about a month... out of the blue my keyboard can't type anymore in any program... whether it is note pad or whatever and when I try system restore I can't click on the "next" button to return to a previous date.. I can't even format cause after reboot, if I try to hit
the "del" key it doesn't work...So I shut down the pc or reboot a few times... ready to bring it to the shop but then all the sudden.. everything is back to normal.. I have no virus.. no spyware I run ad aware pro version 6 and spy bot and avg antivirus is up to date.. Then I wonder if it going to happen next week again.. really annoyed.. any ideas ?

ectoplasme, suspect a hardware glitch. Sounds to me like something's dying. One possibility that might've been overlooked is a trojan. Be aware that a virus and a Trojan are similar, but not the same. Many times, an AV detects one it can't clean , other times, it gets missed entirely.
If you need to clean one, A² can do the job and you can get it free @:

among other places. If it turns out that you need to use it, be sure to update prior to running. They just released a new update recently and it changes all the time. Things are in a constant state of flux.

Check your CPU fan to make sure it's not stopping. You might want to replace it (with a ball bearing fan),just to be sure.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!
