installed winxp on my pc the upgrade. but when xp gets set to start it stops on first screen. when I hit restart xp starts but tells me unable to log in. know password but I did not make one yet.

You'll be surprised the number of people who type their serial numbers into the admin password box during windows setup. You might also want to clear the CMOS and reset all your BIOS settings. due to the lack of general information about your computer i have come to the conclusion that aliens from the planet zog will land outside parliment by the end of 2003.
