A key logger keeps a record of every key u press on the keyboard and can be viewed later. This type of prog is usually used to spy on a users actions.

More sophisticated progs can even take snapshops of what is on screen at pre-determined times.

If u suspect ur being spied on, download Spybot - this can detect these progs and kill them off.
