When I boot my computer, Taskman says that the total of memory used by kernel is about 60Mb.
After I open and close some programs, Kernel memory is being occupied, increasing more and more space up to 150Mb.
Ok, I know that it appear to be normal, but I would like:
If, after opening and closing programs and staying with the same state of boot time, why do kernel memory don't back to the same use (about 60Mb)?
So, I have to boot my computer to reestablish the low memory usage.
I there some solution for this?
Thanks in advance.

do a Search for the word MEMORY. You will find
several about memory leaks. All food for thought, plug up the toilet.

Doing a search at Yahoo, for Kernel Memory, I found this little blurb:
Kernel memory size can be tracked using the sar -k command. The total of the "alloc" fields is the kernel memory size. If it appears to be growing without bound, you may have a memory leak.
