Whenever I am downloading really fast or uploading my computer all of a sudden freezes and then unfreezes for like about 3 seconds and then freezes again for 15 second. And at times my computer just reboots automatically...
One time when it rebooted it gave me a warning dialog that said "I have encoutered a critical error" and it created a dumpfile/sysdata? Well I searched those and found this site:http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinXP/Q_20585309.html
and did everything that said there but my computer still freeze when I download/upload with certain programs. I don't think it has to do with the application (mIRC, Burst!) because a lot of people use it, a conflict with something of mine? Any info about this would be nice, please help me...

ahhh, it was a hardware thing... I read this on the website's FAQ...
A: This is hardware related. Your hardware probably has bad drivers (Netgear drivers repeatedly exhibit this problem). The quickest and least painful way to fix this it to go to the local computer store, grab a $5 10/100 NIC and be done with it. Alternatively, you can try messing around with drivers (apparently older Netgear Win98 drivers work good on ME; but crash XP, for which you should apparently get newer drivers.. this works for some people, and not others, YMMV).
How do you know which drivers to download? or check which one you have?
