Keep the folder in private

when clicking on the "My Computer", we'll see "File Stored on This Computer". Here it contains "Shared Documents", and "John's Documents & Pete's Documents" which belong to the users of the computer. Since i want to keep my file in private, i right-click on "Pete's Documents" and choose "Sharing and Security...". However, i cannot check the box "Make this folder private" which is under "Local Sharing and Security" since it is disabled.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
