Had XP for a long time now but it's determination to rule me is becoming annoying. How can I keep the folder view in Windows Explorer? The Tools/View/Folder options excepts Folder options and toolbars and reverts back to original each time. Anyone know how I can keep only Folders in the left pane?? I never use the options in XP explorer as they are and having to keep changing to Folders quadruples a search

Have you done:
Click Tools on the Menu Bar, then Folder Options, then the View tab, then find and check mark "Remember each folder's view settings".

Must not have made it clear enough on the fact that the view options process excludes Toolbars and Folder options! Erm, it doesn't stay this way for folder options and toolbars! The program kindly warns you of the fact.
