It's sad, but it's a hobby of mine to sing and I was wondering if there were any karaoke programs for the computer. Currently I just have a cheap mic hooked up and use musicmatch jukebox's line in to sing overtop something that is playing the windows media player. Is there a better way?
Also, I'd like to post some things on the net to see what people think. Sounds dumb, but I'm curious. I would like to post them for free, currently they are in limewire to share, but is there any way I could put them on a web page or something? Any info would be great. Thanx:-)
Nevin

You will find lots of Karaoke MP3's on-line. Winmx is great for finding them, that way you don't have to sing overtop vocals.
Also, midi karaoke is another way to go. Tons of free midi karaoke files and if you can find an old version of Karplay (free) on-line, it also has the capabilities of changing keys and saving them and also changing the instrumentation.
have fun and Happy Holidays!friendly and helpful for better computing in all areas *smile*

I yet to find a program that will take out the voices from Mp3 songs. It would be difficult, for the computer, to distinguish between voice and music. I know CoolEdit Pro can do a little something with it, along with Nero (when you play around in the equalizer)

Don't be ashamed, Nevin.... I used to get half-tanked up and sing too at the ole' watering hole..... In fact, I won t-shirts quite a few times, LOL !!!
Happy holidays!

Go to Karaoke Playground and see what can be done.
Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
