what do you have for a sound card?

We can fix this, but you're gonna need a butter knife, a roll of duct tape, and a car battery

Not sure, but I don't think you would want to put it in the microphone input. Soundblaster has microphone inputs on their audigy cards. A little pricy though.

Leslie, I'm not sure of the cable that comes with your Karaoke mic, but if it has a 1/4" guitar jack on it, you will have to get an adaptor where the 1/4" jack will go down to a mini plug and you'll be fine, then just plug the mini plug into your sound card at the mic input and you'll be all set. Radio Shack has that type of adaptor.
Good Luck.
