Hi guys-Would it be too much to ask to install a link to the spyware programs on the security and virus forum here? We seem to get much more traffic and it would be much easier to refer to the link than typing in all the programs.
Thx-Per.

You can just write it up in HTML and save it:

Click here for some useful security tools.

It's by and large overlooked in its present location, and might be here as well

Hello per, Justin Weber, KTTD,

My opinion, just refer them to that link, per. You could have a link, to that page, on all the forum home pages. But, they still have to see it/look for it, in order to take advantage of it.

Maybe, that's maybe, put it right below the;

Security and Virus
Security Tools

Just another idea. But, as I said, it has to be seen, before it gets used. What was that again, the click syndrome ;-)

Thanks for your attention,
CrazyOne

The biggest problem seems to be that some people don't try to find anything. The search feature is under-utilised. There's not much we can do about it though, apart from trying to encourage people to use it. Some people will always just post a question and expect it to be answered, even though it's been answered a hundred times before.

Hello,

I'm not sure what you mean. There already is a link like you describe on the security and virus forum.

Hi everybody!!! I understand where per is comeing from and it might be that it should show up in every forum instead of just in security/virus forum. But at the same time
Sci-Guy hit the nail on the head. If it isn't stuck right infront of there face they will not look for it. It getts pretty frustrating. Lately I just copied different one to notepad on my desk top and copy/paste them as needed once set up it isn't that bad.
Justin, I think that Ccleaner and regscrupxp with hijack this links would help fill that need also

There are other forums beyond WinXP - honest.

Adding a link to those pages might be helpful - or, at least as helpful as the current one is

Sure, no harm in putting the link in Win9x either, thanks. I'm not convinced it'll be all that noticeable, but that does give it greater exposure. I suspect a significant proportion of Computing.Net participants seldom stray beyond their own OS page (or are even aware of the purpose of the S&V forum).
