Hi Justin:
Are we now getting advertising spam posted and allowed/accepted as a reply to a new post? I've seen several posts where this "contributor" (Name: RB 2009) appears to have posted a clear advertising link...; but no actual useful input (as per the majority of users/posters here)...
That "poster" is clearly touting for commercial gain?
If we "must" have advertising here (and there does appear to a deal more than in the past...?) at least can we please have it blocked/disallowed as a reply to a call for help?

Hey,
That's just an inline advertisement designed to look like a post. Its not posted by anyone. I just had the ad team make it look much less like a post, so it should be less confusing.

mmm... I think it might better if ads looked like ads... and not somewhat similar to posts etc?
There have been "enuff" instances in the past where some (allegedly genuine) posters have tried to hook folks here to a given site to download/buy etc. some package or other - usually theirs; all in the guise of "helping"...
I think I'm not alone in feeling that this style of "in-line" ad tends somewhat to mislead as those above; is not appropriate?
If I read him correctly in his post about this ad, XPUserforReal seems to be of similar mind?

It pretty bad when you have to spam threads like that.
Any credibility this forum had, has now gone down the gurgler.
I will wait till I see one of thos e adverts, and report it to the team at Admuncher so it gets added to the block filters.
