After installing win xp pro I get a jumpy screen when dragging a window across the screen. I had this once before but for the life of me I can not remember what I did to resolve it. Can anyone help? If I knew how to look for previous post I made to this site I might be able to find when I posted this and how it was resolved.

I wish to tell you that I have found the problem. It was the program for the video board not installed. It was using the default board. I probably wouldn't have noticed that if it hadn't been for viatech answer. Thanks

Hi it sounds like you dont have the correct drivers installed. Is it a popular computer like dell hp toshiba etc... If yes what is the model number? If it is a custom computer you will have to figure out which graphic chip it uses and you will have to download and install the proper drivers. Most motherboards have a model number and by looking up the model number you can go to the manufacturers website and download the correct drivers. Hope this helps :)
