When I attach jpeg images to Outlook 2003 for sending, the images when attached will not open and the error message is application not found - help

Can you open these jpg's on your computer outside of email?

Yes, I can open them - they open up with window picture and fax viewer but once I insert them in an email, I cannot open them or the person to whom I have sent the email, cannot open same. The error is application not found

Finally got sorted - after fiddling around for ages, I went into My Computer - Tools - Folder options - File Types - Jpeg. Scroll down to where JPEG is under extensions and see what the file type is. Make sure it is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer - if not, change too same. I can now attach JPEG in Outlook 2003. I must remember this for the future.
