My son has a computer down at school. He's been having problems with Norton. It's not doing anything. Script errors! He uninstalled it and reinstalled it. It won't scan or do anything. He downloaded AVG virus protection and it's keeping tabs on the computer. But he really wants the Norton to work. We've downloaded the rnav removal utility and before I tried to reinstall again, I decided to run the AVG and scan the computer. It found 6 viruses. You can't fix them or quarantine them. They are:
insecureclass loader.class
installer.class
getaccess.class
classload.jar-370sf750-1fa613f3.zip
installerapplet.class
javainstaller.jar-3c936701-4d2f7dee.zipThey are all Java/ByteVerify or Java/Openstream viruses. What should I do? Just delete them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

2 of the 6 viruses are quarantined. The other four are embedded objects. I can't do anything with them.

Maybe post this question in the Security and Virus forum section listed here on the left.
And you can also do a google.com search on it while you are waiting for some feedback. Here is a helpful hint if you are new to computers or google.com search, Use the virus name and add the word "virus" next to it in the search line. I know you will find a lot of stuff about this virus there.
I also had this virus but I only got 4 of these virus's and my Norton 2004 quarantined them really fast. Actually it said that it deleted them, but they were in my Norton's backup folder.
I'm not ignorant, I just need more learning!

If the Java "little cup of coffee" is in your task bar, right click on it and click on " open java control panel". On the "general" tab scroll down to "temporary internet files", click "delete files" , click "ok". If the little cup of coffee is not showing in the task bar then click "tools" then "sun java console", close the console after it opens and now the cup of coffee is in the task bar. "Javabyte Verify" will be all gone when you clear the Java temp files.
