I've just noticed that WordPad and Paint are missing from my Accessories menu! I don't recall uninstalling them, or deleting any associated files. I have used the search feature and fiddled about with Control Panel, but they appear lost for good and i cant think why!

just do a search for wordpad or paint and see if they show up and where. Then go to the accessories folder and make a shortcut to the locations.
When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

If you really think they are lost. Go to control panel add/remove programmes Add/remove windows components click the plus signs in accessories, then check mark to get back what is missing

im having the exact same problem since yesterday on my win98 machine. i suspect virus. first wordpad went, then paint. i ran PestPatrol on the computer and it found nothing serious, so i dunno. its unlikely ill keep up with this topic but ill email socrates if i find the culprit. id love an email in the event someone figures it out, too.
