ITunes Won't Install

I click the install.exe file and I get this error "the installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured".
What is causing this annoying problem, this is not the first program. It has happened before in the last week or two. I have scanned my pc for spyware with spybot several times. I have a firewall on all the time.
