I downloaded iTunes yesterday and uploaded my music onto it. I go to Boston College and everyone in this dorm is on the same network. Thus, when connect to iTunes we can share each other's songs and listen to them. However, I cannot see anybody elses songs when I am connected to my wireless router. When I plug the ethernet cable directly into my computer, I can get on the system fine but I cannot access AIM, IE, or any other internet based utility. Any ideas on how to be able to share my files with other iTunes users on the BC network while at the same time being able to access AIM and internet explorer?

When you connect without the router, your network card is probably still holding on to the IP address that the router has assigned. Have you tried releasing the IP and then renewing? For iTunes router configuration instruction Click Here. Once at that page, refer to How to share music.
