Hey all

I recently had some viruses on my computer but fortunate enough I was lucky to finally get rid of them once and for all. I thought removing the viruses would finally make these programs work but they are still crashing. I have tried reinstalling them, uninstalling them and installing again, new updates but nothing seems to work. When I click on itunes it just automatically crashes. This is a big problem for me as 3 of the 4 family members have ipods and I can no longer put music on there anymore. Moviemaker crashes when I am making a movie when I try to drag clips from a home video onto the movie making chart. I have the old version of movie maker, would the new version fix this? And finally winamp, winamp crashes randomly normally after playing one or two songs which is very frustrating as im not exactly the biggest fan of Windows Media Player. If you need more information, I'll try give you it but I'm not sure what else I can give you.

Thanks

Shane

Could you please take a look at the event viewer when the application crashes to find a few details?
To access event viewer, right click on My Computer, Click on Manage and then click on Event Viewer.
Then Select Application logs.
Take a look at the Application Name, Event ID and the Modname

Try running System File Checker. Have your Windows XP installation CD ready, so that you can it insert it if you are prompted to do so. Go to the Start menu and click on Run. In the blank field there, type this command: SFC /SCANNOW (note there is a space between SFC and the forward slash). Click on OK or press Enter. Follow any instructions on the screen. After its done, it would just close. And then reboot the computer.

Good Luck with that...
Regards,
Jay
