Ah! So I installed the new itunes 8.0.02 through my old version of itunes and all of a sudden my internet won't connect to wireless. In fact, it seems to not recognize it has a wireless connection, as the wireless light remains orange (disabled), instead of blue (enabled) and I can't find my HP Wireless Assistant so it's like I don't even have wireless.
Again, I have a Compaq Presario V3018C, and I've reinstalled the network drivers=--the broadcom driver and the HP Wireless Assistant and it worked the first two times--for a while. But then I'd lose internet and everything again. This seems to happen when I leave my computer on and just shut it overnight without turning ti off or even when I just start to shut the computer without shutting it down. Most recently, I've tried Multiple times to reinstall the drivers and search and delete files/folders created on the date I tried to update itunes, but to no avail! Anyone have any suggestions? I'm going crazy here!
PS: Sorry for not having exact specs--I hope someone can help me anyways. i'M AT work now and left my computer at home. . . .

odds are the itunes update just cooincided with the wireless failure.
first test is to enable your wired nic, disable your wireless nic and connect wired to the router.
Do you get internet?

Person who is pro life and anti sex education.
Education is key to prevention. Prevent conception you prevent abortion. Abstinence training clearly isn't working.
