I know this has nothing to do with windows xp but I know some of you here are certified. I was wondering if you can just study on your own and just go take whatever core skill certificates on your own? Is it required to take classes or not? Also if it is possible where do you go take the exams at? Any information would be appreciated thanks.

Depending on what exams you wish to study for...most can easily be studied on line and most are free to practice online. the costs for various certifications is about $125(US)
Google what ever it is you wish to learn and there is a lot of free information for learning.
here is a good starting place:http://www.librarysupportstaff.com/...

Of course a lot depends on where you live. There are a few internationally recognised certificates but you would be best starting in your own country.

You can study on your own. Be warned that if you fail it usually costs you the same.
Be very careful in the wording and be sure to take all the practice questions online or with your books. For example, you can get the 70-290 series and you get the books, cd's and all sorts of practice questions. All are ALMOST word for word. I mean you need to not think what you are reading but you have to really read each question and each word and answer. Don't assume anything.
Some bootcamps are up to $5,000 and may be worth it if you are being paid from a company.Depends on who you work for. Where I work they will train us but never have us take the exams. As long as we pass their school is all they care about. We can take the cert test if we want to do it on our own time. I don't waste my time since I am not going to get a new job.
Most places would like to see or know that you have the paper.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
