Hi,

I upgraded to IE 8 and whenever I try to select the address bar to type in a website, nothing happens. I have to click several times until the address bar is available. Also, when I click the down arrow button on the address bar to drop down the websites I visited, the drop down will not appear. This also happened on IE 7. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a fix or a work around?

Thanks,
Veets

Hi,

Thanks. I uninstalled it, went back to IE 6 and then downloaded 7 and then 8. It works for the most part but then it doesn't. The other issue that happens I forgot to mention is, when I try to type in a web address in the address bar, I have to click on it several times. Sometimes nothing happens and I had to close IE and then open it again. I guess I just have to live with it.

To go directly to the address bar, press the F6 key, then type in your URL.

This also works if Firefox.

Hi,

Thanks. I tried F6 and it worked and then it started up again, not responding. It's as if the page freezes up, where if you click in MSN's websearch page, it too does not respond. Does anyone think that this might be video card related? I have the latest drivers but not sure what else it can be.

Hi,

What is event viewer, the error log? If not the error log, how do I access the event viewer. Thanks so much!
