I've downloaded an .iso file, and would like to install it. I was told to burn them using Nero and Easy Cd Creator. Neither worked. I burned them, but can't open the program on the cd, my system doesn't recognize it. I am using Windows Xp Pro.
1st how do I burn the .iso files?
1nd what program do I open the .iso with? Please give me user friendly instructions.
Appreciate any help!!
PS, I also tried CDRWIN but that program won't work on my system.

Hi,
Sure, you do need an ISO opener. You could download it from ISo website itself. http://www.winiso.com/ and follow the instruction.Peace

nope...don't do that. In Nero, go to file->burn image. select your .iso file and click open. This will burn it as an image file, the way it was intended to be used.

Use isobuster to open the file, then you can burn the files to cd or if you have easy cd creator you can right click on the .iso and then click on record to cd.
It will then work.

do not "open" or "extract" the file with isobuster, winiso, or anything else. This is a completely unneccessary step at best, and will cause the resulting burned cd not to work at worst. Just burn it with nero, ezcd, or the burning software of your choice.

Download daemon tool 2.88 and install
With daemon, mount the iso image and then use ez cd or nero or any other prog to "copy cd", select the phantom cd rom as source and away you go.
(You can also run the iso as a cd rom unit and install whatever it is with that)
WINISO hangs my system and is highly unstable in my opinion. Support and flexibility is exceptional with the daemon tools. There's even a webpost where the developers will answer you questions directly.
WINISO got that?

What part of this are you people missing?
H3: to mount the .iso with daemontools and "copy cd" would be redundant. Somebody already "copied cd" with the original cd, which produced the .iso file. Explain to me what the benefit would be of doing this again? granted, daemontools *is* a great solution if you can't or don't want to burn the .iso to cd, but it should *NOT* be the first choice of what to do with a .iso file.
.iso image files are (almost always) CD image files. They are copied from and intended to be written to CD-ROMs. Unless you have an overriding reason not to write a .iso file to a CD, you should always use the .iso as it was intended to be used and burn it to cd, as an image file.

well im having a killer problem with this file nothing works Norton SystemWorks Pro 2002 - Iso.ace.exe
can some one tell me how to get this darn thing to install
