I keep getting the subject as an error message everytime I try to boot up. I disconnected and moved my system and when I reassembled, that is all that it would do. I inserted the xp disc and tried the repair part, found out I need an administrators password, but I never set one up after installing xp. Is there a password that will work or ?? I would like to copy all my files and move to my new system. This is on my compaq presario 6000 (model 5868) Anybody got any ideas??

If you never set up a password there shouldn't be one. Have you tried just pressing "enter" at that point? This is what I had to do on my logon screen before I changed it.

isass.exe error message or lsass.exe error message. Hehe. Oh no, where was that other one on the boards?
Is the current system you are having problems with an XP system?
I remember hearing something about a problem with Adminstrator password when none was set and I thought MS had some sort of fix for that. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
