i,m on 1000 mhz computer 256 mb minni geforce 2 mx 400 should game work like win 98 se on this computer our is windows xp very bad for games

I have a 1.4Ghz with 1gig RAM with GeForce 3 and all of my games, like Unreal Tournament play just fine in XP. Haven't had any problems with it at all.

XP is great for games, just be sure to have your Video Card drivers for XP updated.

When they work they work fine. I've got all to work easily with updates, haven't tried many...NASCAR 4, Return to Castlewolfenstein, XTeam Ski-doo Racing, and ZOO Tycoon. They only glitchy one is Microsoft Zoo Tycoon, and Castlewolf needed the updated Detonator drivers from NVIDIA. Only concern would be getting updates that are game specific. Older games might be difficult if not impossible, but I never tried compatibility mode, never had to. You may wanna look into your games specifically for updates ahead of time.
