I was on the net earlier and I had some pop-up windows come up, after closing them through 'end task' I noticed a file called msrexe.exe had been created on my system and it seemed to be trying to connect to a network, I think it could be a virus but my AV programme hasn't picked it up. What is the safest way of removing this file from my system? Thanks.

Thanks, that tells me how to edit the registry but I'm still not sure whether I should actually delete the msrexe.exe file itself.

djwolf, The link below has more info and states to delete that file. I have Windows XP SP1 & IE 6 SP1 and that file doesn't exist on my system. The file was created by the Trojan and you may have to "End Process" in Task Manager (Alt/Ctrl/Del) prior to deleting it.
